Thank you for your interest in the role of Head of Digital and Data for the Commissioning Alliance. This is a hugely important role, newly redesigned, which sits in the leadership team of the CA.
Commissioning Alliance is a local authority collaborative project, hosted by Ealing Council. We work with more than 60 local authorities across England, and our focus on working together to improve outcomes is set out clearly in our mission statement: “To lead collaboration between local authorities to enable high quality sustainable services for vulnerable people”
Technology and Data tools are central in how we deliver that mission. We do this by producing and promoting services and tech that leverage innovation, scale and collaboration so that local authorities can more effectively provide for their most vulnerable residents. Our scope covers adult and children’s social care, housing, and education.
The Head of Digital and Data sits in our leadership team in the CA and will head up a motivated, high achieving team. You will be responsible for ensuring our tech and data strategy is fit for purpose, and our products and services are delivering optimally for stakeholders.
Our tech and data offering runs across three key strands: e-brokerage, quality assurance, and data analysis. Our tech & data products are used by our inhouse teams and across a range of local authority members.
One of the things that makes us unique as an organisation is our horizon scanning and nimbleness in grabbing new opportunities. As an innovative and creative partnership of local authorities, we have developed a range of imaginative services and technology, such as the portal which supports our London-wide quality assurance programme, Setting the Standard. The successful candidate for this role will be central to that activity going forward, and will have ample opportunity to propose new ideas and develop new services through to fruition.
The CA is a service area of the West London Alliance directorate. The post holder will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in the WLA who are supporting a wide range of economic and social activities in West London.
